The most formally executed chair in their collection is the T-chair from 1952/53, whose aesthetic is reminiscent of the furniture of Mies van der Rohe. It owes its name to the T-shaped frame, the three legs of the chair and the seat. The connection between the metal frame and the seat is simple but effective: leather is laid on a steel rod that is halved lengthwise in the middle and then screwed back to its other half; this is mounted horizontally on each leg. The tensile forces generated when sitting on the chair are thus distributed over the rods, preventing the seat from tearing.
